Manifesto

The digital advertising supply chain has been optimized for volume for too long. We believe the next decade belongs to curation: inventory that is measurably viewable, demonstrably attentive, and accountable to global standards for sustainability. Quality is the only metric that compounds.

01 / HISTORY

Seven years of quiet engineering. One new SSP.

We didn't show up to ad-tech to ride a trend. We built the underlying technology first, then waited for the market to catch up.

2017 / Founded

Duration Media is founded.

With a hypothesis: a viewable impression is worth more than a delivered one, and there's no reason buyers should pay the same for both. Real-time intelligence becomes the foundation.

2018 to 2020 / VaaS®

VaaS® is built and patented.

Viewability-as-a-Service® launches with publishers. Independent measurement by IAS and DoubleVerify validates 90 %+ viewability, a number the open exchange still hasn't matched.

2021 to 2023 / Attention

The shift to attention metrics.

The industry begins measuring attention with Lumen and Adelaide. Duration Media's inventory is independently verified to outperform the open exchange baseline.

2024 / Pivot

The market moves toward direct supply.

Buyers begin actively demanding a shorter, cleaner path to premium inventory without duplication, reselling, or intermediaries. Our seven-year tech stack is suddenly the right answer.

2025 / Curation Media

Launch of the Curation Media SSP.

Refresh Detect™ goes to market and the SSP launches. Buyers reach unique, curated inventory through a single bid request, and publishers earn incremental, performance-aligned revenue. The full thesis ships.

We're bootstrapped. That means we don't take swings we don't believe in, and we don't optimize for anything except the long-term durability of our relationships with publishers and advertisers.

Quality is the only compounding metric.

Volume gets re-baselined every quarter. Quality, as measured by viewability, attention, and outcomes, accrues into brand equity for the buyer and pricing power for the publisher.

Every intermediary is a tax on quality.

Each reseller hop adds latency, takes margin, and obscures attribution. We took them out. Buyers reach our inventory through a single bid request.

If you can't measure it, we don't claim it.

Every metric we publish is verifiable by partners you already trust: IAS, DoubleVerify, Lumen, Adelaide. There are no proprietary black boxes here, and you don't have to take our word for any of it.

We don't sticker our pitch deck with "green." We align with the Ad Net Zero Global Media Sustainability Framework and IAB Tech Lab standards, and we publish the math.

Viewability via IAS and DoubleVerify. Attention via Lumen and Adelaide. We don't measure ourselves; we publish numbers buyers can verify with their own contracts.
